Focus and Scope
Journal of Mechanical Engineering, Science, and Innovation is a peer-reviewed journal in English published two issues per year (in April and October). Journal of Mechanical Engineering, Science, and Innovation dedicated to publishing quality and innovative research in the field of mechanical engineering and science, thereby promoting applications to engineering problem.
It encompasses the engineering of energy, mechanical, materials, and manufacturing, but it is not limited to scopes. Those are allowed to discuss on the following scope:
- Energy: Renewable Energy, Energy Technology, Energy Management, Aerodynamics, Internal Combustion engine, Computational Fluid Dynamic, Fluid Mechanics, and Heat Transfer Emissions
- Mechanical: Applied Mechanics, Automobiles and Automotive Engineering, Tribology, Mechanical System Design, Mechatronics, Optical Diagnostics, Nano-Lubricants, and Solid Lubricants
- Material: Material Science, Composite and Smart Material, Micro and Nano Engineering, Powder Metallurgy.
- Manufacturing: Modelling, Reverse Engineering, and Additive Manufacturing

Articles
Peer Review Process
Journal of Mechanical Engineering, Science, and Innovation conducted double blind review process for articles. Therefore, it outlines policy for peer-reviewers in conducting review. Their contribution will help Journal of Mechanical Engineering, Science, and Innovation in achieving its aim to commit prominent International Journal standard. Therefore, the following are our review policy:
We ask peer-reviewers to analyse whether the submitted articles are qualified to focus and scope of Journal of Mechanical Engineering, Science, and Innovation.
- A manuscript with multiple submission to other journals cannot be tolerated.
- Editor will point at least 2 reviewers with the same subject to author to review the article.
- Editor will inform authors on further review when it is needed.
- Decision on all publication made by Editors-in-Chief based on the referees' reports. Authors would be notified promptly when their papers are not accepted.
- All submitted manuscripts are treated as confidential documents. We expect our Board of Reviewing Editors and reviewers to treat manuscripts as confidential material as well.
- Our peer review process is confidential, and identities of reviewers cannot be revealed.
- Manuscripts are not charged for the review process.
Publication Frequency
Journal of Mechanical Engineering, Science, and Innovation is published biannually (issued in April and October)
Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
Archiving
This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...
Publication Ethics
The Journal of Mechanical Engineering, Science, and Innovation, published by Institut Teknologi Adhi Tama Surabaya, is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and preventing publication malpractice.
The Journal of Mechanical Engineering, Science, and Innovation follows the ethical principles and best practice guidelines established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) . All parties involved in the publication process—authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher—are expected to adhere to these standards. Any suspected ethical misconduct will be handled in accordance with COPE procedures.
Duties of Editors
Editors are responsible for publication decisions based on academic merit, originality, and relevance to the journal’s scope. Editors must ensure a fair, confidential, and unbiased review process, manage conflicts of interest, and take appropriate action in cases of ethical concerns, including plagiarism.
Duties of Reviewers
Reviewers support editorial decisions through objective, timely, and confidential peer review. Reviewers must declare conflicts of interest, maintain confidentiality, and identify relevant uncited work or potential ethical issues.
Duties of Authors
Authors must ensure originality, accurate reporting of research, proper citation of sources, and compliance with ethical standards. Multiple or redundant submissions are prohibited. All conflicts of interest must be disclosed, and significant errors discovered after publication must be reported promptly.
Duties of the Publisher
The publisher, Institut Teknologi Adhi Tama Surabaya, ensures that editorial decisions are independent of commercial interests and supports the journal in maintaining ethical standards, including handling corrections, retractions, and ethical investigations.
Handling of Ethical Misconduct
All allegations of misconduct, including plagiarism and data falsification, will be investigated following COPE guidelines . Appropriate actions such as corrections or retractions will be taken when necessary.
