This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

 

Archiving

This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...

 

AI Usage Policy

INTEGER: Journal of Information Technology upholds the principles of publication ethics and integrity, in line with the required standards and best practices. The use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools in manuscript preparation must be transparent, responsible, and limited.

1. Authorship and Human Responsibility

All manuscripts must be the original intellectual work of human authors. AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT or similar systems) must not be listed as authors. Authors hold full responsibility for the content of their work.

2. Permitted (Limited) Use

AI tools may be used in a limited capacity to:
  • Edit language and correct grammar
  • Enhance clarity and readability
AI must not be used to generate core scientific content, interpretations, or conclusions.

3. Prohibited Practices

The following are strictly prohibited:
  • Manuscripts or substantial text sections generated by AI without human authorship.
  • Fabrication, falsification, or manipulation of data, images, or references.
  • The use of AI to generate inaccurate, unverifiable, or non-existent (fictitious) citations.
  • Any form of use that violates research integrity and ethical standards.
Violations will result in rejection, retraction, or other editorial actions.

4. Disclosure Obligations

Authors are required to disclose the use of AI tools in the manuscript (e.g., in the Acknowledgments or Methods section). Example:
“AI tools were used solely for language enhancement. All content was reviewed and validated by the authors.”
Failure to disclose the use of AI is considered a violation of publication ethics.

5. Accountability and Verification

Authors are fully responsible for:
  • The accuracy and validity of all statements and data.
  • Proper citations and originality.
  • The verification of all AI-assisted outputs.
AI tools cannot bear responsibility for any aspect of the manuscript.

6. Confidentiality in the Editorial Process

Editors and reviewers are not permitted to upload confidential manuscripts or data to AI systems. The peer-review process must remain secure, confidential, and compliant with publishing ethics standards.

7. Compliance and Enforcement

INTEGER reserves the right to investigate the use of AI and request clarification at any stage. Non-compliance may result in:
  • Rejection of the manuscript.
  • Retraction of the published article.
  • Notification of affiliated institutions if necessary.
Any use of AI must comply with the journal’s policies on Publication Ethics, Plagiarism Screening, and Research Integrity.
