Author Guidelines

WRITING GUIDELINES FOR AUTHORS

• The manuscript is the author's original work which is a dissemination of the results of research or community service and has never been published in other media.
• Manuscripts are in accordance with ADIPATI's Focus and Scope and Manuscript Types.
• Manuscripts must be prepared according to the points in the submission preparation checklist.
• The manuscript is written according to the ADIPATI Journal template which can be downloaded here.
• The manuscript is written in Indonesian; the abstract section is written in English and Indonesian; minimum length of manuscript 6 and maximum 12 pages; A4 paper size; borders/margins using mirror margins top 3.0 cm, bottom: 2.5 cm, inside: 2.25 cm, and outside: 2 cm; font: Garamond; program: Microsoft Word 2010 (.docx).
• The systematics of the manuscript are as follows: title, author's name, name of study program and agency (affiliation) and complete address of the agency, English abstract, Indonesian abstract, contents of the manuscript consist of introduction, implementation method, results and discussion, and conclusion, remarks thank you, and bibliography.
• Manuscript must be prepared and has to meet the similarity check requirements with a maximum permitted similarity index of 20% (by Turnitin).
• Manuscript writing procedure:
  • The title is typed single spaced, capital letters at the beginning of the word, size 18; normal; bold; and a maximum of 15 words.
  • Author's name (written without using a title), written sequentially and marked with the author's name, the name of the institution/department and the address of the institution/campus; typed 1 space; upright letters; normal; size 12
  • Abstract in English typed with 1 space; italic; size 10. Equipped with 3-6 keywords.
  • Abstracts in Indonesian are typed with 1 space in 1 column; upright letters; normal size 9. Equipped with 3-6 keywords.
  • The contents of the manuscript are typed 1 space in 1 column; upright letters; size 11 and the distance between the title/subtitle and the contents of the manuscript is given after 6 pt spacing.
  • The bibliography is consisted of minimum 15 references and arranged in alphabetical order by the last name of the first author (ref. APA), the reference presentation structure begins with: author's name, year of publication, book/article title (italicized), city of publisher, publisher's name, year of publication. The presentation structure for reference journals begins with: author's name, year of publication, article title, journal name (italicized), volume, edition (normal edition) page number (print normal), and doi link (if any).
  • Example of reference presentation: Dwicahyani, A. R., Novianarenti, E., Radityaningrum, A. D., & Ningsih, E. (2020).   • Citations are done by writing the last names of the first and second authors and the year of publication separated by a "," (comma). If the number of authors is more than two, then the quotations of the names of the second, third and so on authors are written with the abbreviation "et al." Example of citations: ... (Dwicahyani, et al., 2020).
  • Table presentation is done by removing the column dividing lines. Table captions are placed above the table by giving a capital letter at the beginning of each word (except conjunctions) and placed in the middle (center alignment).
  • Figure presentation is written in high resolution format (300 dpi). Image captions are placed below the image by providing a capital letter at the beginning of the sentence and placed in the middle (center alignment).
  • Equation presentation is written in mathematical equation format using the Ms feature. Word, namely Insert à Object à Microsoft Equation 3.0 and/or Insert à Equation. Each equation is placed in the center (center alignment) and given the equation number in the order it appears in the text in brackets "()".

• The managing editor has the right to change the format of the manuscript as long as it does not change the contents of the manuscript.
• Submission of manuscripts to the Editorial Team is carried out in soft copy form (.docx file) via the OJS portal https://ejurnal.itats.ac.id/adipati/about/submissions.

AUTHORSHIP CRITERIA

Jurnal Adipati enforces strict authorship criteria to ensure accountability, transparency, and research integrity. Authorship is granted only to individuals who have made substantial contributions to the conception or design of the work, data collection, analysis or interpretation, or the development of the manuscript.

All authors must:

1. Make a substantial intellectual contribution to the research or manuscript.
2. Participate in drafting the manuscript or critically revising it for important intellectual content.
3. Approve the final version submitted for publication.
4. Accept accountability for the accuracy, integrity, and ethical conduct of the work, including addressing questions concerning any part of the research.

Individuals who do not meet these requirements must not be listed as authors and may instead be acknowledged where appropriate. Gift, guest, honorary, and ghost authorship are strictly prohibited.

The corresponding author must ensure that all listed authors meet these criteria, have agreed to the author order, and have approved the submitted manuscript. All contributors who qualify for authorship must be included, and no eligible author may be omitted without their consent.

Any change to the author list or author order after submission requires a written justification and written approval from all authors, including any author being added or removed. Such changes are subject to the Editor-in-Chief's approval. Disputes concerning authorship may result in suspension of the editorial process until the matter is resolved.

Violations of this policy may lead to manuscript rejection, suspension of the review process, or post-publication correction or retraction, as appropriate. Further information on authorship and publication ethics is available under the Editorial Policies menu.

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor)
2. The content of the manuscript is the result of community service activities and/or dissemination of research results that focus on community empowerment.
3. The manuscript has been prepared according to the Jurnal ADIPATI Template written in a Microsoft Word document (.DOCX).
4. The manuscript consists of a minimum of 6 pages and a maximum of 12 pages.
5. References totaling at least 15 or more from the latest literature from the last 10 years. If possible, reference URLs (especially those linking to the DOI system) should be included.
6. The manuscript has followed the citation and bibliography writing style and reference model as stated in the Writing Guidelines and Jurnal ADIPATI Template.
7. Manuscripts must use citation tools such as Mendeley, Zotero, or other similar softwares.
8. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
9. The authors used AI-assisted tools only for language editing, grammar checking, and improving the clarity of the manuscript. All AI-generated suggestions were reviewed and revised by the authors. The authors take full responsibility for the accuracy, originality, and integrity of the manuscript.

10. The authors have disclosed any potential competing interests, including financial, personal, professional, or institutional relationships that could influence the research or its publication. If no competing interests exist, this has been explicitly stated in the manuscript.

11. Once the submission is accepted for publication, the authors agree to pay the Article Publication Charge (APC) to cover the manuscript processing costs.

Copyright Notice

Copyright of articles published in Jurnal Adipati (Journal of Community Service and Technology Applications) is held by the journal under the auspices of Adhi Tama Surabaya Institute of Technology (ITATS), in accordance with the journal's applicable copyright policy.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that their submitted manuscripts are original and do not infringe upon the copyrights or other intellectual property rights of third parties. Any third-party materials included in an article must be properly acknowledged and used with appropriate permission where required.

The use, reproduction, distribution, or republication of published articles is subject to the journal's applicable licensing terms and copyright policy. Users must provide appropriate attribution to the original authors and the source of publication when reusing or citing published content.

Privacy Statement

The names, email addresses, institutional affiliations, and other personal information entered into the Jurnal Adipati website will be used exclusively for journal management, manuscript processing, peer review, editorial communication, and publication purposes.

Jurnal Adipati respects the privacy and confidentiality of its users' personal information. Such information will not be sold or disclosed to unauthorized third parties for unrelated purposes. Reasonable measures will be taken to protect personal data in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

Personal information will be accessible only to authorized parties involved in journal operations and retained as necessary for legitimate journal activities and publication records. Questions or requests concerning personal information may be directed to the Jurnal Adipati Editorial Office through the contact details provided on the journal's official website.

Author Fees

This journal charges the following author fees.

Fast-Track Review: 250000.00 (IDR)

To accommodate authors requiring expedited processing, the journal offers a Fast-Track Publication option with the following terms:

• Review Process Duration: Maximum of 2 weeks from submission
• All fast-track submissions will undergo the same rigorous peer-review process as regular submissions
• The editorial team reserves the right to accept or decline fast-track requests based on reviewer availability and manuscript readiness

The fast-track option is intended for authors with time-sensitive publication needs while maintaining the quality and integrity of the review process.

Article Publication Charge (APC): 500000.00 (IDR)

Once a submission is accepted for publication, authors are required to pay the Article Publication Fee to cover manuscript processing costs. The article will be published once the payment has been completed. The invoice will be sent along with the Letter of Acceptance (LoA) for the manuscript.

Due to the limited number of reviewers and the high volume of submissions, the maximum review process for regular submissions is up to 3 months from the date of submission.

Currently, there is no waiver policy for article publication.
