Optimasi Pengelompokan Kelompok Tani Jagung Kabupaten Sumenep Menggunakan Metode P-Center
Abstract
Corn is one of the strategic agricultural commodities in Indonesia, especially in East Java Province. Sumenep Regency has a significant potential for corn production, but the existing distribution system still faces various obstacles, such as relatively long distribution distances, uneven distribution of farmer groups, and suboptimal distribution center locations. This study aims to optimize the corn distribution network in Sumenep Regency using the P-Center method to determine optimal distribution center locations. The data used include 483 farmer groups, production capacity, land area, geographic coordinates, and distances between locations. The P-Center method was applied to minimize the maximum distance between farmer groups and distribution centers so that service coverage becomes more efficient. The results showed that 483 farmer groups can be grouped into 14 distribution clusters with 14 optimal service centers representing the entire study area. The resulting grouping is able to form a more structured service area based on geographic proximity between farmer groups, thereby supporting efficient distribution management and corn supply chain network planning. The results showed that the P-Center method is effective in determining distribution centers to support a more organized and efficient corn distribution system in Sumenep Regency.
