Pengaruh Penerapan Blockly Games Terhadap Peningkatan Pengetahuan Dasar Pemrograman Siswa Kelas IX SMP Negeri 17 Semarang
Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penggunaan Blockly Games terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan dasar pemrograman siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 17 Semarang. Perkembangan teknologi menuntut peserta didik memiliki kemampuan berpikir komputasional serta memahami logika pemrograman sejak dini. Namun, pembelajaran yang masih berpusat pada guru sering kali menyebabkan siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami konsep-konsep abstrak, seperti percabangan, perulangan, objek, dan atribut. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain one-group pretest-posttest yang melibatkan 33 siswa. Instrumen penelitian berupa modul pembelajaran dan tes objektif yang telah melalui proses validasi. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji Paired Sample t-Test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan antara nilai pretest dan posttest setelah penerapan Blockly Games (t = -4,825; p < 0,001). Analisis ukuran efek menunjukkan nilai Cohen's d sebesar 0,84 yang termasuk dalam kategori efek besar (large effect size). Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa Blockly Games efektif dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan dasar pemrograman siswa melalui penyajian materi yang visual, interaktif, dan menarik. Oleh karena itu, Blockly Games berpotensi menjadi media pembelajaran yang efektif untuk mendukung pengembangan literasi pemrograman dan kemampuan berpikir komputasional pada siswa SMP.
