Abstract

Load Cell is a sensor used to read the weight of a load. One load cell application reads gallons of water for an automatic drinking water filling system. The previous system used a weight chamber equipped with the Kalman filter method to improve the reading process before applying the control system. Then, the system was expanded with a cash register as a transaction tool that makes it easier for consumers to refill drinking water. This system uses a signle load cell, so gallon weight readings are less accurate and inconsistent. Based on these shortcomings, the aim of this research is to create a more accurate and stable integrated weight reading system, using a full-bridge load cell with the Kalman filter method to increase the input signal. This control system automatically stops pouring drinking water when the weight reaches 19 liters. After testing the addition of 2 gallons without a Kalman filter, the error results were 1.94% and 1.89%, while using the Kalman filter the error results were 0.63% and 0.52%.
