Pengaruh Metode Ekstraksi Dan Jenis Pelarutnya Pada Kandungan Fitokimia Dalam Minyak Jagung

Abstract

One of the most well-known vegetable oils in Indonesia and many other nations is corn oil. Corn oil has long been regarded as a top option among edible oils due to its neutral flavor, good stability, and health advantages. In terms of annual output, corn oil is in tenth place among all vegetable oils and makes up roughly 2% of the total vegetable oil produced worldwide. First, corn seed powder is extracted using reflux and sokhletation techniques with a variety of solvents, including n-hexane, ethanol, and ethyl acetate, to create corn oil. Furthermore, the phenolic and carotenoid contents of corn oil were analysed. The results showed that extraction by the sokhletation method using ethyl acetate solvent produced the highest phenolic and carotenoid contents, namely 149,28 ± 0,58b^b and 76,42 ± 0,20^b respectively. This information demonstrates the high phytochemical content of the ethyl acetate extract.
