MODELING OF RAILWAY CROSSING DOORS DRIVING BY UTILIZING PLUGGING BRAKES

Abstract

The condition of the railroad crossing gates is still a concern so that it becomes a barrier as well as a safety for road users against railroad crossings. However, this also has an impact on the intentional use of the road users themselves, who still often break through the railroad crossing gates, so that in this case PT. KAI (Perseo) together with the Department of Transportation must work together in security at railroad crossings.

A DC motor that functions as an actuator or prime mover because it has characteristics and work functions that can support this automation system. Where the characteristics that have large torque and do not require large input power, use DC voltage, and have ease of braking which in this case utilizes plugging braking. In its design, using Arduino Uno hardware which is used as a control system with the Atmega 328P microcontroller type which has 4 output ports, each of which has 8 pins.
