Analisis Kualitas Airtanah Berdasarkan Kandungan Zat Padat Terlarut Serta Daya Hantar Listrik Di Kecamatan Rantepao Dan Sekitarnya, Kabupaten Toraja Utara, Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan
Abstract
Shallow groundwater is groundwater that is easily contaminated through seepage from the ground surface. Contaminated groundwater can cause people to be susceptible to disease if used continuously over a certain period of time. The exact research location is in Rantepao District, North Toraja Regency, South Sulawesi Province. Dissolved solids and electrical conductivity parameters are parameters that are generally used in determining the quality of groundwater in a region because they can be correlated with the geological conditions of the region. The research method used was collecting primary groundwater data directly at the research location from several samples of residents' dug wells (shallow wells), namely taking DHL and TDS values at that time. Based on the results of the total dissolved solids (TDS) test from residents' wells at the research location, in general the groundwater in the research area still has a fairly low dissolved solids content, is in the required for drinking category, and is in the permitted for drinking category. Based on the classification of water quality from the Electrical Conductivity Value (DHL) according to Wilcox, 1955 (in Sen, 2014), the water quality of the research area is divided into 2 (two), namely: Zone I is in the very good class and Zone II is in the good class, so in general groundwater in the research area still does not experience high levels of pollution.
