Studi Pengaruh Jenis Minyak Nabati terhadap Campuran Bioresin Vinil ester-Minyak Nabati

Abstract

Minyak nabati merupakan alternatif untuk mengganti minyak mineral dan bahan kimia, karena minyak nabati bersifat biodegradable, tidak beracun, ramah lingkungan, dan dapat diperbarui. Penelitian ini akan mengembangkan bioresin yang merupakan campuran dari polimer vinil ester dengan polimer alam berupa minyak nabati. Hasil dari pengujian bioresin dengan variasi minyak nabati yang meliputi minyak sawit, minyak kelapa, minyak kedelai, dan minyak wijen didapatkan hasil bahwa bioresin vinil ester dengan pengisi minyak sawit (VE-MS) dan minyak wijen (VE-MW) memiliki properti teroptimum. Nilai kekerasan VE-MS 76 HD dan VE-MW 75 HD, nilai kekuatan tarik VE-MS 42 Mpa dan VE-MW 45 Mpa, nilai pertambahan panjang VE-MS 24% dan VE-MW 20%, nilai kekuatan tekuk VE-MS 73 Mpa dan VE-MW 89 Mpa, massa jenis VE-MS 1,004 g/cm3 dan VE-MW 1,003 g/cm3.
