Petrologi Organik Batuan Induk Serpih Formasi Talang Akar, Daerah Ujungali, Tebing Tinggi, Kabupaten Lahat, Sumatra Selatan, Indonesia

Abstract


Lokasi penelitian terletak di Cekungan Sumatera Selatan dimana targetnya adalah Formasi Talang Akar berumur Eosen. Singkapan serpih tersingkap di Desa Tebing Tinggi, Kabupaten Lahat, Sumatra Selatan. Kajian petrologi organik batuan induk serpih di daerah Tebing Tinggi bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan mengevaluasi potensi hidrokarbon berdasarkan komposisi organik dan analisis rock eval pyrolysis. Profil singkapan tersusun atas perselingan batupasir, serpih dan batulempung, diendapkan di lingkungan lacustrine pada Eosen, fosil polen yang hadir adalah tipe meliaceae dan monoporites annulatus/gramineae pollen. Hasil analisis petrologi organik (maceral) batuan induk serpih Formasi Talang Akar di daerah Tebing Tinggi terdiri dari vitrinite, lamalginite (liptinite), kuarsa dan pirit. Maseral lamalginite (liptinite) merupakan bahan organik yang berasal dari tumbuh-tumbuhan darat berupa alga yang akan menghasilkan minyak. Hasil analisis pirolisis serpih Tebing Tinggi memiliki potensi yang sangat baik untuk menghasilkan minyak. Potensi batuan sumber serpih Formasi Talang Akar di daerah Tebing Tinggi, Sumatera Selatan umumnya menghasilkan minyak dan kondisi belum matang (immature).

The research location includes the South Sumatra Basin where the formation target is the Eocene Talang Akar Formation. Shale outcrop was cropping in Tebing Tinggi village, Lahat Regency, South Sumatra. The study of the potential of shale source rock in the Tebing Tinggi area aims to determine and evaluate the potential of hydrocarbons based on rock eval pyrolysis analysis and organic petrology. The outcrop profile is composed of intercalated sandstone shale and claystone, deposited in a shallow lacustrine environment in the Eocene with the presence of meliaceae type and monoporites annulatus/gramineae pollen fossils. The results of organic petrological analysis (maceral) of shale for the Talang Akar Formation in the Tebing Tinggi area consist of vitrinite, lamalginite (liptinite), quartz and pyrite. Maceral lamalginite (liptinite) is an organic material derived from terrestrial plants in the form of algae that will produce oil. The results of the analysis of Tebing Tinggi shale pyrolysis have very good potential to produce oil. The potential of shale source rock for the Talang Akar Formation in the Tebing Tinggi area, South Sumatra generally oil produces and immature condition.
